The new year is flying right along, and spring is right around the corner. Yes, March is here, and with it comes new and exciting ways to support the animals of the Virginia Beach SPCA.
Easter Pet Sessions – March 4th, 7th, 11th, 13th, and 27th
Break out your best pastels and celebrate the special bond between you and your furry friends with a mini photo session with Laurie Bateman Photography. Each session costs $125 and lasts 20 minutes, and $25 from each session will be donated to the VBSPCA. Click here to book your session.
Little Learners – TCC/Joint Use Library – March 15th
The VBSPCA is pleased to announce its newest Humane Education offering, Little Learners. Children ages 3-5 and their caregivers are invited to join us at the TCC/Joint Use Library on Friday, March 15th from 10:00am to 10:45am to learn kindness, compassion, and empathy through stories and activities. Participants will also meet a small animal. A donation of $5 is suggested to attend with all proceeds going back to our shelter. Click here to learn more and to register.
Yappy Hour – Smartmouth Pilot House – March 22nd
Are you ready to prove once and for all that you’re the smartest pet lover around? Join us at the Smartmouth Pilot House on Friday, March 22nd for a special Pet Trivia Night that runs from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Teams or individuals can register for a donation of $10 per person, and Smarmouth will donate a portion of the night’s food and drink sales to the VBSPCA. Click here to learn more and to register.
2024 VBSPCA Wags and Whiskers Gala – Tickets On Sale Now
Get your tickets for the biggest and best fundraiser of the year! The 2024 VBSPCA Wags and Whiskers Gala returns on Saturday, April 27th from 6:00pm until 10:00pm at New Realm Brewing Company. Over 400 of our closest friends will be there in celebration and support of the VBSPCA. The theme is Sunset Speakeasy, and you won’t want to miss out on the unlimited food and drinks, casino games, and live entertainment from local big band Hipshack. Click here to purchase tickets.
VBSPCA Annual Membership Drive – Now through April 30th
Our members are loyal supporters who help us sustain our mission and provide all necessary medical care for adoptable animals. There are 2 membership levels, both come with benefits and perks, and all memberships go directly to our Miracle Medical Fund. We’ve added 52 new members so far this year and need 48 more to reach our goal. Visit the front desk at the shelter or click here to become a member.
