Help Shelter Pets Shine – All Month Long
Help the homeless animals of the VBSPCA shine as they wait to find loving homes. For every donation of $5 or more, visitors will receive a special edition “Pets Bring Sunshine to Our Lives” sticker to showcase their support of shelter animals. Every single animal in our building receives care in our clinic, and your support helps make that possible. Visit the shelter front desk to pick up your sticker.
Pet Personality Photo Contest – All Month Long
Show off your pet’s winning personality with the Virginia Beach SPCA’s Pet Personality Photo Contest! Enter a photo of your furry friend in their element for a chance to win a custom piece of artwork featuring your pet. Then, invite your family and friends to vote for your best chance to win!
Entries and votes will be accepted through Saturday, August 31st at 9:00pm. The winner will be officially announced on Tuesday, September 3rd. All proceeds benefit the homeless animals of the VBSPCA. Click here to enter or vote.
Donation Drive – Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater – August 6th
The VBSPCA is holding a donation drive before the Stick Figure concert at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater on Tuesday, August 6th. Drop off an item from our Wish List before enjoying the show.
Little Learners – TCC/Joint Use Library – August 16th
Join the VBSPCA for its newest humane education offering, Little Learners. Children ages 3-5 and their caregivers are invited to join us at the TCC/Joint Use Library on Friday, August 16th from 10:00am to 10:45am to learn about kindness, compassion, and empathy through stories and activities. Participants will also meet a small animal. A donation of $5 is suggested to attend with all proceeds going back to our shelter. Click here to learn more and sign up.
Kids Night In – August 16th
Young animal lovers are invited to Kids Night In, a fun-filled and educational evening at the VBSPCA Shelter. Each registration includes dinner and features activities such as meeting adoptable animals, making crafts, and playing games. This event is open to children ages 6-11 years old is runs from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Click here to learn more and sign up.
Dog Days of Summer Vendor Market – Smartmouth Pilot House – August 17th
Come visit the VBSPCA at the Smartmouth Pilot House on Saturday, August 17th for the Dog Days of Summer Vendor Market. We will be there with adoptable dogs between 12:00pm and 6:00pm and will also be collecting donations from our Wish List.
Puttin’ for Paws Charity Golf Tournament – Register Now
The 2024 VBSPCA Puttin’ for Paws Charity Golf Tournament will be held Friday, October 4th. We’ll return to Red Wing Lake Golf Course for 18 holes along with great food, cold drinks, adorable animals, and lively games. Best of all, your participation supports homeless animals in the community. This event sells out fast, so click here to register today.
