The Virginia Beach SPCA foster program provides specialized care to animals who are not yet prepared for the adoption process or shelter environment. We place over 1000 animals in foster homes every year, which allows another 1000 animals to find a temporary home in our shelter. Fostering makes a huge impact on our capacity for care.
