School Community Service
Middle and high school students (ages 13–17) can complete required service hours through our School Community Service Saturdays.
- Held once per month
- Focus on support tasks (limited animal interaction)
- No walk-ins

- October 17, 2026 (Sign-ups open September 19)
- November 21, 2026 (Sign-ups open October 17)
- January 23, 2027 (Sign-ups open December 19)
- February 20, 2027 (Sign-ups open January 16)
- March 20, 2027 (Sign-ups open February 20)
- April 17, 2027 (Sign-ups open March 20)
- May 15, 2027 (Sign-ups open April 17)
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
To reserve your spot, email volunteer@vbspca.com during the sign-up period (opens one month before each session).
Spots are limited and fill quickly. No walk-ins will be accepted.
Requirements
- Submit a liability waiver (once per school year)
- Provide proof of school service requirement
Important Guidelines
- Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes
- No cell phone use during shifts
- Stay with assigned chaperone at all times
- Must participate fully to receive service hours
