As a Loyal Lifesaver, you provide dependable support to the more than 2,600 homeless animals cared for by the Virginia Beach SPCA each year. Your monthly gift can be applied to the area of greatest need across the shelter or focused on the Miracle Medical Fund, which covers the cost of veterinary care for all shelter animals.
Homeless animals like Groceries rely on the generosity of our Loyal Lifesavers. Rescued as a stray by a partner organization, she was emaciated and had a wound under her front left limb that required urgent medical attention. The VBSPCA quickly got her back to a healthy weight, but her wound proved nearly impossible to heal. For a year, she received treatment at the VBSPCA Clinic, including regular laser therapy, all the while remaining in the care of our cattery. The Clinic’s diligence paid off, and 12 months later Groceries was cleared for the adoption floor. She joined her forever family a year to the day of arriving in our care.
