Chick-fil-A Angel Tree — All Month Long

Be an angel and visit the Virginia Beach Blvd. Chick-fil-A in the month of December to participate. Pick an ornament from their christmas tree, then buy gifts and supplies for the animals. Donations will be collected and dropped off to the VBSPCA in January. Participants get a free small peppermint milkshake as a thank you!

Yappy Hour at O’Connor Brewing Co. — Dec. 5, 6-9 pm

Come down to O’Connor Brewing Co. for a pet-friendly happy hour that will include discounts on food and drinks for all VBSPCA members! Come meet staff and enjoy a mission-centered pint of beer. Click here to become a member today.

VBSPCA Holiday Lighting and Open House — Dec. 6, 5-8 pm

Take a couple hours to surround yourself with the best kind of holiday spirit – the four-legged kind. Wrap up the first week of December with a tree lighting for the animals, a Parade of Pooches, light hors d’oeuvres, and festive beverages. Stop by to meet our CEO and staff, visit with adoptable animals, get a kickstart on some holiday shopping, and put an ornament on our holiday tree. Girl Scout Sign-Up Event — Dec. 7 – 8,  4-5:30 pm

If your little girl loves animals and wants to make a difference in her community, come visit the VBSPCA for a great event with the Girl Scouts of Colonial Coast! Children will be given a tour of the shelter, learn about animal rescue and even make a toy for an animal. They will also have a chance to earn their Service to Animals patch for free if they become a Girl Scout member. Click here for more information.

Pupcracker — Dec. 8, 2 pm

Come watch the iconic Nutcracker ballet with a twist — cute puppies! Two puppies from the VBSPCA will become the stars of the show on Dec. 8, and there will be a meet-and-greet with adoptable animals during intermission and after the show. Click here for more information and to buy tickets.

The Paws Express — Dec. 16 – 20
This holiday season, the VBSPCA Paws Express will be making stops throughout Virginia Beach to share the spirit of the season through the joy of animal companionship. Mrs. Paws and her elves will bring puppies, kittens, and shelter animals to local businesses to help spread joy, relieve stress, and get shelter animals some much needed socialization. All Year Long – Sustainable Support

Give animals a second chance at finding forever homes of their own when you shop at Second Chance Thrift on Shore Drive, where a portion of all proceeds are donated to the VBSPCA!

You can also help homeless animals anytime you buy groceries at Kroger! Simply sign up, swipe your Plus Card when you shop, and a portion of the sale will be donated back to the VBSPCA! Sign up to participate here.

In solidarity with our two legged and four-legged community, VBStrong T-shirts and tanks are available at the VBSPCA shelter, located at 3040 Holland Road. 100% of the proceeds from these VBStrong shirts will go to families of those who were lost on May 31st.
