The Virginia Beach SPCA offers shelter tours to youth groups in an effort to share our mission with children in the community. Tours last approximately 45 minutes and offer a behind-the-scenes look at the cattery, kennel, and small animal room followed by hands-on interaction with at least one of our shelter animals. Tours are offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 4pm and 6pm only, with the last start time at 5pm. We can accommodate up to 20 guests on each tour, which includes children, parents, and chaperones. (Adult family members/chaperones who do not wish to be part of the tour are welcome to wait in the shelter lobby free of charge). Tours must be scheduled in advance and we cannot accommodate walk in tour requests.
