Attention young animal lovers, teachers, PTA organizers, and youth group leaders! The Virginia Beach SPCA’s Annual Mutt Masquerade and Adoption Event takes place on October 27th, and it’s our biggest, family friendly event of the year! We’re looking for animal loving classrooms, youth groups, and clubs to join us in the event and participate in a fundraising competition to benefit the animals of the VBSPCA. All you have to do is put together a group, print out some pledge sheets, and raise some funds!
The fundraising takes place in the weeks leading up to the event, and the celebration happens on Sunday, October 27th at the 24th street park. There will be kids activities, pet activities, costume contests, food trucks, a 5k run/walk, and a 1 mile pack walk all to benefit the animals. And, as an extra fundraising incentive, the winner of the youth group fundraising competition will receive a very special invitation to the shelter, including a tour, some critter-time, and a pizza party! This is a fun way to rally around a heart-driven project that gives directly to the homeless animals of our community.
The dedicated and compassionate kids at Brandon Middle School have taken the top Youth and School fundraising awards for the past 10 years! Will they take it again? Or will there be a new Top Dog? For more information and details on how to participate, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 757-427-0070 x 142.
Our fundraising competition has the following categories: Adult Individual, Adult Group, Youth Individual, and Youth Group. Prizes are awarded to the top fundraiser in each category.
