A dog or cat is considered to be a senior when they reach 7 years of age. These pets still have lots of love to give and often already know commands and behaviors that can make for an easier transition into a new home.
The Virginia Beach SPCA is proud to be the recipient of a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization in 2021. We were one of 77 animal welfare groups chosen to receive a grant to help provide second chances to senior dogs in our community. The Grey Muzzle Organization seeks to create “a world where no old dog dies alone and afraid.”
