VBGT Contestant Guidelines and Submission Form

Thank you for your interest in being a VB’s Got Talent contestant! There is so much talent in our area, and we are thrilled to have a platform where we can share our local talent with the community while also helping out the animals of the VBSPCA.

Here is how it works –

Submission Guidelines

  • Talent must live within the 7 cities of Hampton Roads – Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Newport News, Hampton, and Suffolk
  • Talent will compete in one of 4 categories – Music, Dance, Comedy, or Other
  • Each category accepts individual and group acts
  • No acts with fire, knives, or any danger element will be accepted
  • There will be 5 acts selected for each category
  • Each act gets a maximum of 3 minutes to perform

Selected Contestant Requirements

  • Selected contestants must fundraise a minimum of $1000 
  • Selected contestants must participate in a video/photo shoot at the shelter to be used in promotion and the contestant spotlight which will be aired at the event.
  • Selected contestants must commit to promotional requirements, including social media posts, (e)mailed invites, and distribution of flyers and postcards.

In exchange for participation, each contestant will receive

  • Contestant promotion on all VBSPCA digital channels and inclusion in our printed newsletter
  • A feature contestant page in the event program
  • 2 tickets to the show + 3 tickets to the afterparty

If you would like to submit your talent, please fill out the following form. Please note that submissions require a 30-60 second video or audio file giving us a sneak peek of your talent.
