Myles Henderson is a shelter pet “dad,” a Hampton Roads native, and meteorologist at News 3. Myles joined News 3 in 2010. He is excited and proud to be a part of the team at WTKR News 3, the station that he grew up watching.
Myles is a local, born and raised in Chesapeake, and is a graduate of Hickory High School. Myles didn’t venture too far from home, a few hours to the southwest to North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology at NC State in 2006. Go Wolfpack!
Myles returned to the state of Virginia to start his career as a broadcast meteorologist in Charlottesville, VA.
Outside of weather, Myles enjoys outdoor adventure sports like wakeboarding and snowboarding. He is also a musician and has been playing drums for 20+ years.
Myles shares his home with his “roommate” Rosco, a 9-year-old brown tabby cat, a rescue from a local shelter. Rosco is a big fan of Goldfish (the snack, not the pet), he enjoys being carried down the stairs (like a baby) and has a habit of shredding any paper in sight (including mail and toilet paper).
Myles is honored to be a part of the Dancing for Paws event and to support the Virginia Beach SPCA.
