Junior Picasso Pet Portrait Challenge

During the month of June, we challenge all young artists to tap into their compassionate side and help out the animals of the VBSPCA. Artists are invited to pick one of our cute adoptable animals, draw their portrait, and have parents share it on social media using the hashtag #VBSPCAKidsPetArt.

This handsome and shy seven-year-old guy is Miller! He came to us from our friends at PETA. His previous family was Spanish-speaking, so it may take some time for him to learn new phrases and commands, but he is your best friend once you gain his trust. Miller is heartworm positive and will need to undergo treatment once he goes home. He loves people, but because of his past, he may need some patience while he builds up the courage to come out of his shell.

While Stubby may look like an old grump, he is super sweet and social! He is eight years old and lived life as a stray until he had a temporary home for a few months. However, he ended up getting in a pretty bad fight with another cat which is how he came to the VBSPCA. Stubby has since learned that fighting is not a way to resolve issues, but he is looking for a home where he can be the only cat. He is FIV+, which means he gets sick a little easier than other cats. But don’t worry, he will live a mostly normal life once he is with his forever family.
