Broken Hearts Club
During the month of February we’re raising funds to cover the treatment costs for VBSPCA dogs infected with heartworm. Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal disease that affects over 1 million pets in the United States and many other parts of the world. It is caused by worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs and associated blood vessels of affected pets, causing severe lung disease, heart failure, and damage to other organs in the body. Heartworm is preventable and treatable, but treatment is expensive. Your gift to the Broken Hearts Club helps to cover the cost of treatment for heartworm positive shelter dogs hoping to be adopted into their forever home.
Heartworm Positive Dogs in Need
Meet our current VBSPCA residents who are in need of heartworm treatment. Fortunately all of our current residents have had their treatment fully sponsored by the community. If you would like to contribute to covering the costs of treatment for dogs who will come through our shelter this year, fill our the donation form below. Please type “heartworm treatment” in the comments box on the donation form below.
