Bill Campbell | In Service to the VBSPCA for 3 Years

For the past three years, Bill Campbell has served on the Virginia Beach SPCA Board of Directors. His motivation: “I hope that my efforts can help continue to bring care and compassion to the relationship between man and animal.”

After spending his career in advertising, Campbell is happy to lend his support to the VBSPCA in the way of communications guidance. He was one of the founders of Barker, Campbell & Farley Advertising and Public Relations, and received over 200 awards for creativity as well as the American Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal. Campbell is now an artist and founding member of the Virginia Beach Art Center. He and his wife Meg enjoy traveling, gardening, reading, fine dining, and spending time with their sons and “grandpets”.

Campbell is most passionate about how the VBSPCA takes in homeless pets and adopts them into loving homes, but appreciates that the mission entails much more than that. “I feel everyone can benefit from association with animals,” he says. “In general, they seem to bring out the very best in us.”

Campbell believes that volunteering is the best way to harness passion for the VBSPCA mission, but encourages everyone to make a donation, whether it is a one-time gift of a few dollars or becoming a member. “I know now how efficiently this organization uses contributions to develop programs,” he explains.

It is because of the support of people like Campbell that the VBSPCA is able to continue working towards its mission of eliminating animal suffering. We are thankful for everything he does to help our furry friends!
