VBSPCA receives 12 Vick Dogs
Published on 2007/12/3
On November 9th 2007, a dozen dogs seized from Michael Vick’s Surry County property seven months ago were transferred to the VBSPCA and have a second chance at finding a home full of love. Nine beagles, two rottweilers and a cane corso were transported by HSUS’s Disaster Field Operations to the Virginia Beach SPCA. Some of the dogs have medical issues, but all are treatable. “We are in the process of evaluating the dogs and believe that the majority of them will be suitable for adoption,” said Barbara Gipson, Virginia Beach SPCA Shelter Manager. For more information please contact outreach@vbspca.com. Click here to see the corresponding HSUS press release.
