We charge a minimum of $25 for each shelter tour, presentation, birthday party room reservation, or private school or club (Scouts, etc.) visit.  Many people ask us why.  The VBSPCA is independently operated.  We do not receive funding from the City, State or Federal governments, or ASPCA (this is actually just the shelter in NY, not an umbrella organization for the rest of us.  Did you know this?)  We must raise $2.4 million each year to operate our shelter and run our programs.  Our purpose for school and club outreach programs is to spread our message of compassion, not for entertainment purposes.  The fees assessed go to the care of our animals.  Thank you in advance for your understanding!
