"United" and "Combined" are wonderful words. So far this year, animal lovers designated more than $53,000 to the Virginia Beach SPCA through United Way, CCC, and CVC . Allocated one way, $53,000 funds our on-site spay/neuter clinic for a full year (counting only the cost of altering adopted animals prior to their going home). Or, it could help pay the light, heat and air conditioning bills for our kennels and cat rooms with almost enough left over to cover emergency medical costs for 6 months.

Your support is what enables us to care for more than 5,000 homeless cats and dogs each year (over a thousand of whom are from military families). We provide pet therapy to retirement homes and other institutions throughout Virginia Beach, and also visit sites in Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Portsmouth. We provide humane education to elementary schools, libraries, parks and recreation centers, day cares, summer camps, scout troops, military day camps, and housing projects. We provide a day camp for children living with their mothers in local battered women's shelters. Our wildlife program helps more than 1,000 injured or orhpaned wildife animals each year.
We don't charge the nursing homes, schools, or any of our other clients for these programs. We rely on you to help us help them.
