Birthday Donation Drives
The Virginia Beach SPCA is so fortunate to have young, enthusiastic, and energetic supporters who love the animals at the Virginia Beach SPCA. Take, for example, Darden Purrington. For the past four years, Darden has happily coordinated a donation drive for the Virginia Beach SPCA in lieu of gifts for her birthday!
Can you imagine that! We are so thankful to Darden for reaching out to her friends and family, asking them to help keep the animals at the Virginia Beach SPCA warm and happy in honor of her special day – she deserves a round of “a-paws.”
To all of the enterprising young animal lovers who spend time and energy to celebrate their special days by showering love and attention on the VBSPCA animals, we salute you!
Emily and Megan B. recently donated money to help animals in need by having a lemonade stand. What a purrrrrfect way to help our furry friends! Thanks so much Emily and Megan for supporting our four-legged friends!

"Friends for Charity" is a group of kids: Amanda, Jessica, Mary Kate, and Delaney, who raised food, cleaning supplies, and toys for the shelter animals. Thanks so much for including our organization in your charity work!
Skylar, Sallie, Stella, and Erin all held a neighborhood drive for the homeless animals here at the shelter. They raised a large number of items from the wishlist online. We would like to give a "round of a-paws" to you for your thoughtfulness.
Alex J. recently celebrated hitting the double digits: 10!! He elected to donate items from the wishlist to our furry friends here at the shelter. Kitty kisses to Alex for helping our homeless pets.
Autumn Z. was generous enough to give the animals at the Virginia Beach SPCA her Christmas money this year. What a kind act from a 9 year old. We would all like to thank Autumn for her donation. That will go a long way here at the shelter!!! Tail wags for Autumn!!!
