The Virginia Beach SPCA is a private, non-profit animal shelter. We run entirely on the generosity of our members and supporters. We receive no federal, state, or local government funding, and we are not (as many think) a chapter of a much larger umbrella organization. Each SPCA is funded separately and has its own Board of Directors, policies, and budget. We need your help so that we can continue to shelter animals and provide programs to South Hampton Roads.

It costs $45 per week to care for each animal that we take in, plus we have to fund the many programs that we offer to the community. We greatly appreciate your help!  Click here to donate online

Monthly Giving

Set up convenient recurring donations and make a difference in the lives of animals every month.  You can schedule and manage your donations yourself or have our development director set them up for you by calling (757) 427-0070 ext 110.

Tribute Giving

Many individuals wish to convey their sympathies for a loss, or remember their pets, their family, their friends, and friends’ pets with a gift that brings life to homeless animals. You can honor a human friend’s birthday, wedding or retirement in the same way. Tributes and memorials can be ordered online.

Planned Giving

CARE Fund Donations

The CARE Medical Fund (Companion Animal Rehabilitation and Emergency Medical Fund) was created to provide specialized medical treatment that may not normally be available or an option for shelter animals.  This fund allows us to provide procedures for conditions that would ordinarily deem an animal unadoptable.  With your help and the proper treatment, special animals with special needs have a chance at finding their forever home.  more...
