Kate Baldwin is originally from Pennsylvania, but she grew up in Virginia Beach. She started teaching yoga in her twenties and relocated to Hawaii where she owned and operated an events company, producing multi-day yoga and music festivals on the island of Oahu. Kate is also a comedic improvisor, and she has studied at the Groundlings in Los Angeles, IO and Second City in Chicago, and Push Comedy Theater in Norfolk. She performs regularly with her musical improv group, Double Treble, and, in January of 2017, she partnered with Push Comedy Theater to launch the first ever Musical Improv program in Hampton Roads. Kate recently wrote and produced a comedy short which has screened at film festivals across the country, and she was also featured in the yoga and surf documentary, Beyond the Surface. Kate lives in Virginia Beach with her partner, Terry O’Quinn, and she is the Community Outreach Director for the Virginia Beach SPCA.
